Lambing this year has been one of the hardest we’ve ever had, with the ‘Beast from the East’ arriving a week after the first set of lambs arrived.  We usually keep our sheep outside all year round, however this year we eventually had to bring them in to a make-shift huts to protect them from the freezing temperatures and snow drifts so that they could lamb.  Our daily tasks whilst battling the snow was walking up the hills to look for them daily and dig any ewes out that had sheltered in behind walls and mounds, only to be covered by snow drifts.
