THINGS TO DO

Swanston Farm is one of the main access points to the Pentland Hills Regional Park and is the perfect starting point for an adventure into the hills.

Swanston Farm is the gateway to nearly 25,000 acres of Pentland Hills Regional Park. With the striking backdrop of the peaks of Caerketton and Allermuir, Swanston Farm has a variety of low tracks and high hills for walkers and hiking.  If you want to experience pony trekking at Swanston Farm, this is available September to May, run by the Edinburgh University Exmoor Pony Trekking Society (click on the link below to book direct).  Golfing has been at Swanston Farm for over 100 years and is run by Swanston Golf Club (click on the link below to book direct).

“I regularly bring my family up to Swanston Farm for our weekend treat. The children love zooming up and down the tracks on their bikes alongside the fields and especially love the free range chickens in the village that all rush over to greet them at the gate.”

“The Highland Cows up on the hills are truly wonderful! We always have lunch at Swanston Brasserie where the staff are brilliant with our children, the food is always fresh and plentiful and the atmosphere is friendly and welcoming.”
