In October 2017 the Rat Race Ultra Tour of Edinburgh took place. A gruelling 55km route starting off on Edinburgh’s famous Royal Mile and following a fantastic scenic tour, taking runners through the historical streets and over the rugged hills of Scotland’s outstanding Capital City.
Competitors endured some of their most challenging terrain right here at Swanston Farm, passing through and onwards and upwards to the summit of Allermuir Hill on the formidable Swanston Farm land of the Pentland Hills, with stunning views of Edinburgh, the Lothians, the East Lothian coastline and the famous Forth Bridges to greet them.
