2024-02-19T10:13:20+00:00

We had some very special visitors in June 2023! Team Mouat, which is led by Edinburgh-born skipper, Bruce Mouat, were crowned world curling champions in Ottawa earlier this year after defeating their Canadian hosts. Team Mouat also took home the silver medal at the 2022 Olympics in Beijing and they [...]

Lambing 2022

2024-02-19T10:13:21+00:00

We lambed indoors this year because we seem to be experiencing a second winter at the start of April when we start lambing and the snow is make the whole process harder for the newborn lambs.  We leave the ewes outside as long as possible before bringing them in to [...]

Lambing 2023

2024-02-19T10:13:21+00:00

A very busy lambing season this year, with a large number of triplets.  We lambed indoors again this year which makes life alot easier and the success rate improves when the newborn lambs aren't subject to sudden Spring snow, which seems to be the norm these days.

Lambing 2018

2024-02-19T10:13:22+00:00

Lambing this year has been one of the hardest we've ever had, with the 'Beast from the East' arriving a week after the first set of lambs arrived.  We usually keep our sheep outside all year round, however this year we eventually had to bring them in to a make-shift [...]

Lambing 2019

2024-02-19T10:13:22+00:00

A successful year for lambing and thankfully without the horrendous weather conditions that we had in 2018 with the 'Beast from the East'.  We have a small flock, however it's no less hard work for all the team involved, with night shifts and early mornings the norm throughout the lambing [...]
